Senior Management Team
Manager Health and Safety
The Health and Safety Manager plans, directs and implements health and safety operations at BTVI, ensuring a secure working and learning environment. The Manager leads the development and oversight of BTVI’s health and safety procedures, continuously improving safety standards and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Dean Student Affairs
The Dean of Student Affairs leads a wide range of student services functions. Responsible for administering BTVI’s student policies, the Dean works closely with other academic leaders to promote student access, retention and success. The Dean also manages student support services, oversees initiatives such as Service Learning, Internships and Apprenticeships and fosters student engagement and development.
Quality Assurance Officer
The Quality Assurance Officer ensures compliance with BTVI policies, protocols and procedures across all BTVI locations and departments as well as compliance with accreditation standards. This involves the continuous oversight and review of BTVI’s administrative functions and academic programmes and performance.
Dean Construction and Mechanical Trades
The Dean of Construction and Mechanical Trades works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity and relevance of BTVI’s programmes in the construction and automotive trades. The Dean provides academic leadership, supervises instructors and helps to maintain high standards in teaching and learning. The Dean also oversees programme evaluation and review in line with emerging industry needs.
Executive Director
External Relations
The Executive Director, External Relations advances the institution’s brand and reputation and is responsible for coordinating media relations, providing guidance and strategies to manage issues and crisis communications across the BTVI network as well as externally. The Executive Director develops and implements internal and external communications plans in support of the institution’s mission and priorities.
Director of People
The Director of People manages BTVI’s Human Resources Department. Primary responsibilities include talent management, compensation and leave administration, enforcement of policies, contract administration, grievance complaint resolution, performance evaluations and coordinating employee training.
Chief Information Officer
The Director of Information Technology (Operations) establishes and enforces IT protocols across all BTVI locations and departments. The Director provides technical support and guidance for institutional systems and networks, ensuring that BTVI’s technology infrastructure supports its educational mission and administrative functions.
Dean Business, Information Technology, Electronics and Media Technology
The Dean of Business, Information Technology, Electronics and Media Technology ensures the quality and integrity of programmes in these trade areas. Working closely with external and internal stakeholders, the Dean oversees programme review and explores new opportunities to enhance curriculum offerings.
Registrar
The Registrar is responsible for maintaining accurate academic records for all students, ensuring the efficient registration process and verifying eligibility for graduation. The Registrar ensures that academic integrity is upheld through consistent record-keeping practices and plays a key role in supporting the overall academic experience.
Manager Internal Security and Transportation
The Internal Security and Transportation Manager develops and oversees safety protocols to ensure BTVI’s physical campuses and facilities are secure. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe environment conducive to teaching, learning and administrative functions. Another key responsibility is the oversight of BTVI’s fleet of vehicles.
Director, Grand Bahama Campus
The Director of the Grand Bahama Campus coordinates administrative functions, including student recruitment, admissions and registration. Key responsibilities include overseeing campus operations, liaising with the New Providence Main Campus, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and providing administrative support in the absence of the Senior Associate Vice President for Grand Bahama and the Family Islands.
Director Facilities (Vacant/Pending)
The Director of Facilities is responsible for all aspects of facilities management, including but not limited to the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, custodial services, capital improvements, grounds maintenance and events support. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and efficient working environment at all sites, including the New Providence Main Campus, Grand Bahama Branch Campus and Family Island sites.
