The New Providence Main Campus is situated in Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas, on the island of New Providence, the most densely populated island. New Providence is the central hub for government, commerce, education and tourism and offers a mix of urban development, historic sites and coastal beauty, making it a dynamic centre of Bahamian life.

The Main Campus is located on Old Trail Road on the southeastern part of the island and is surrounded by a variety of businesses that support the local economy and the BTVI community. This Campus serves as the administrative hub of BTVI and provides technical and vocational education and training in a variety of trades. It comprises administrative buildings, classrooms, labs, a cafeteria, clinic and common workspaces. Additionally, a fully equipped carpentry and automotive workshop, state of the art computer labs, a modern-day spa and other facilities ensure that students acquire workplace readiness skills. The Campus also boasts a day-care centre and serves as a Certification Center for Pearson VUE and as an EDUSA Advising Center.

BTVI has invested heavily in its technical infrastructure holding paramount the privacy, safety and security of data contained within its networks. Network reliability, whether provided directly by the Institution or through contractual arrangements, is maintained by BTVI with Cable Bahamas and Starlink© (installation underway) as access through a local Internet Service Provider.

Additionally, the technology used for institutional operations and the delivery of technical and vocational programmes includes and is not limited to personal computer systems, security cameras, electronic door access, Internet access, construction and mechanical trades’ tools and applications, credit card system, mobile phone devices, televisions and video equipment.

Finally, with a strategic focus on security – both cyber security and physical security – BTVI has policies and procedures assuring the health and safety of employees, students and guests. Physical security protocols include and are not limited to access control, vehicle barriers and physical barrier protection.
