Admission Process

Every step of our admissions process is designed to understand your academic background and align with your personal goals for the future.

Complete the Online Application
Visit BTVI's web portal to fill out and complete the BTVI Application for Admission form.
Gather Required Documents
Collect all required documents: Proof of Citizenship, BJC and BGCSE certificates, College transcripts, and a completed stamped and signed by a medical doctor.
Pay the Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable $25 application processing fee. The application fee is valid for one year only.
Submit Supporting Materials
Upload your documents with your application along with a copy of the $25 application fee receipt, which is non-refundable (please ensure uploads can be clearly viewed).
Await Admission Decision
Once your application and documents are reviewed, you'll receive an official notification about your admission status.

Find the Right Programme for You

The first step to becoming a BTVI student is discovering the technical and vocational programme that's right for you. BTVI offers a variety of programmes, ranging from certificate and diploma courses to Associate of Applied Science degrees in fields such as construction and mechanical, business, information technology, fashion, beauty and media and electronics.

Certificate and Diploma Programmes

For direct entry into a certificate or diploma programme, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • BJC Math and English with a grade of C or above, or equivalent qualifications such as post-secondary credits, Advanced Placement (AP), or a minimum score of 70% on the BTVI English Placement Exam and a raw score of 51 on the BTVI Math Placement Exam.

Associate of Applied Science Degree Programmes

For direct entry into an Associate of Applied Science degree programme, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Possess a BGCSE, GCE, CXC, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum grade of C in both English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications such as post-secondary credits.

Readmission to BTVI

Students who have not registered for BTVI courses for one full academic year are considered withdrawn and must submit a new Application for Admission, along with all required documents, to re-enrol.

Additionally, students who have graduated from a BTVI programme must reapply for admission by submitting a new Application for Admission and all required documents. Requests for readmission are only considered for the Fall and Spring semesters.

Professional Development Courses

Our professional development programmes and courses are open to everyone. If the course or programme leads to certification or licensure, applicants will be advised of any specific admission or eligibility criteria.
