Health and Safety Manager
The Health and Safety Manager plans and directs all health and safety operations which contribute to a secure working and learning environment. The Health and Safety Manager leads, develops, implements and oversees BTVI’s health and safety procedures. The Manager also ensures the continuous improvement to overall safety and BTVI’s compliance with the appropriate Health and Safety at Work legislation.
Dean of Student Affairs
The Dean of Student Affairs provides leadership for a variety of student services areas and functions. The Dean of Student Affairs is responsible for administering BTVI’s policies and procedures regarding students’ rights and responsibilities. This Dean works collaboratively with other Deans, instructors and academic support personnel to achieve student access, retention and success. Additionally, this Dean is responsible for managing and evaluating support service personnel and carrying out and overseeing student clubs, projects and special programmes such as Service Learning, Internships, and Apprenticeships. The Dean is a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team.
Dean of Construction Trades and Workforce Development
The Dean of Construction Trades and Workforce Development ensures the quality and integrity of all academic functions of the skilled building and mechanical trades and workforce development. A member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team, this Dean provides academic leadership, supervises instructors and related ancillary personnel, coordinates assessment processes, explores new academic programmes and works with instructors to develop semester and session course schedules.
Public Relations Officer
The Public Relations Officer develops and implements marketing and communications strategies across a range of reactive and strategically planned opportunities in print, media, events and online. These strategies, plans and approaches help market and position BTVI to attract students as well as partners who help raise funds for specific areas of academic and trades development and student needs.
Director of Technical Services
The Director of Technical Services institutes and oversees protocols for the use of Information Technology across all BTVI departments, projects and locations and provides advice on the most suitable IT choices. Additionally, the Director provides technical support for all BTVI systems and networks.
Quality Assurance Officer
The Quality Assurance Officer provides professional administrative and operational support for academic compliance and oversees quality assurance functions such as reviewing, monitoring, reporting of curriculum, academic performance and instructional excellence as well as performance on institution-wide performance indicators as reflected in the Strategic Plan and its Board-approved metrics. Central to this position is the continuous improvement of the students’ academic experience, and the ultimate drive toward programmatic as well as institutional accreditation.
Manager of Physical Plant
Director of Facilities (Vacant)The Director of Facilities oversees the maintenance of all BTVI buildings, equipment and grounds. The Director supervises routine and assigned capital works, including but not limited to, preventative maintenance, repair and renovations.
Registrar
The Registrar maintains the academic records of all students and plans and implements the student registration process. The Registrar is responsible for keeping a record of all classes and curriculum prerequisites and corequisites, student grades and attendance records, determining students’ eligibility to graduate, and preparing other academic information such as honours lists, transcripts and class rankings. A member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team, the Registrar helps to ensure the academic integrity of BTVI’s programmes.
Assistant Manager, Grand Bahama Campus
The Assistant Manager, Grand Bahama Campus coordinates administrative services and functions, including accounts, supervises student recruitment, admissions and registration. The Assistant Manager monitors all support services, including the procurement of supplies and services, and oversees compliance requirements. The primary liaison with the New Providence Campus for routine day-to-day operations, the Assistant Manager refers to AVP Grand Bahama and the Family Islands Campus for final decisions as needed and is responsible for campus operations in the absence of the AVP.
Internal Security Manager
The Internal Security Manager is responsible for planning and directing safety and security operations contributing to a secure physical campus and facilities conducive to teaching, learning, administrative and support activities.
Dean of Business, Information Technology, Electronics and Media Technology Trades (Vacant)
The Dean of Business, Information Technology, Electronics and Media Technology Trades ensures the quality and integrity of all academic functions of the IT, Electronics, Media Technology and Business Trades programmes. A member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team, this Dean provides academic leadership, supervises instructors and related ancillary personnel, coordinates assessment processes, explores new academic programmes and works with instructors to develop semester and session course schedules.
