Program Description:

The Business Office Technology program is designed to prepare students for employment in a variety of positions in today’s administrative and business fields. The program provides the skills necessary to be successful in an office environment.  The program emphasizes use of the keyboard and application software.

To enter the program students are required to have Mathematics and English BGCSE with grades of C or above.  It may be necessary for students to enroll in Office Assistant certificate program if they do not possess the requisite entry requirements.  

 

Period of Candidacy

Students must complete all requirements within five (5) years.   Students that do not comply with this rule will be required to start the program over including previously passed courses.  Students requesting exemption from courses previously completed at BTVI must possess a grade of B or higher.

ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE - OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

Program Description:

This program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare the student to enter work as an Office Manager.   The skills, knowledge, and attitudes to be acquired by the student are found in the course syllabi. The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute Associate of Applied Science – Office Administration, is awarded upon successful completion of the program.
