POSITION: IT Support Technician (Part-Time)
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for providing a full range of IT support and technical assistance for computer hardware, servers, telephony, peripherals, and software applications for instructional personnel offices, classrooms, and laboratories and for administrative and student services offices and work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or post-secondary education in computer programming, computer information systems or closely related area; certified training in at least one (1) IT specialization or computer application area (industry certifications).
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
At least two (2) years of relevant technical work experience in operation, use, installation, and repair of computer/network hardware, software applications, telephony and IT systems. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests, consistently give a high level of effort, maintain established industry and departmental standards, and be committed to providing quality customer service in a time sensitive environment. He/She should demonstrate the ability to interpret technical instructions, specifications and procedures and analyse and provide practical solutions. He/She should be able to communicate timely and accurate information in a professional manner orally and in writing to a varied audience.
