RECRUITMENT OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY
The Recruitment Officer is instrumental in attracting and enroling prospective students into the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) programmes. This role requires proactive outreach, relationship building and a passion for promoting educational opportunities. The Recruitment Officer plays a vital role in expanding the reach and impact of BTVI within the technical and vocational education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to our technical and vocational programmes.
- Represent the institution at career fairs, industry events and community gatherings to promote programme offerings and engage with potential students.
- Conduct informational sessions and facility tours to showcase our campus, facilities and programme features to prospective students.
- Cultivate relationships with high schools, industry partners and community organisations to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process, including assisting with applications, providing programme information and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with Public Relations and Admissions to develop promotional materials and outreach campaigns.
- Track recruitment activities, analyse data and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and inform future strategies.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in business administration or related field required.
- Previous experience in recruitment, admissions, sales or related fields is
advantageous.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, including giving presentations.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events and activities. Occasional travel may also be required.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
