Job Summary
This position performs skilled construction trades work involving carpentry, in the buildings throughout campus, and provides support for general maintenance and upkeep of campus buildings and grounds.
Required Qualifications
Education: Completion of a secondary or postsecondary program or certification in an appropriate skilled trade area (masonry, carpentry, tiling, general construction roofing); current license or specific technical certificate.
Current OSHA Certificate 10 hours.
Required Experience
Skills/Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant job experience involving building maintenance operations, or skilled trades; working knowledge of safety methods, materials, tools and equipment used in construction tasks; ability to read, interpret, and work from plans, drawings, and technical specifications; knowledge of math computation and applications; ability to analyse emergency situations accurately and take prompt corrective action.
