Masonry

 

The Masonry program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare the student to enter the workforce at an entry level. Students will receive instruction about masonry techniques inclusive of materials used, mixing mortar, laying masonry units, block and brick making and block laying. The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute Certificate in Masonry is awarded upon successful completion of the program.

To enter the program students are required to have Mathematics and English BJC with grades of C or above. It may be necessary for students to enroll in preparatory English and Math if they do not possess the requisite entry requirements.

Period of Candidacy: Students must complete all requirements within five (5) years. Students that do not comply with this rule will be required to start the program over including previously passed courses. Students requesting exemption from courses previously completed at BTVI must possess a grade of B or higher.
