BTVI and Georgia State University Forge Ties

Following a visit by Georgia State University to The Bahamas last October, the institution and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) have since signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to initiate formal discussions on a collaboration that would afford BTVI students the option to continue their studies at the tier one research institution in Atlanta, Georgia.

BTVI Tuition Grant

 The government is offering a tuition grant to qualified Bahamians to attend the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institution (BTVI) as of the fall semester 2019, as announced by Minister of Education, the Honourable Jeffrey Lloyd during his communication in the House of Assembly today.

BTVI’s team presents at TVET conference

For the first time in the history of the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute, three of its employees had the opportunity to present papers at the same international conference.

BTVI Receives Wheelchair Donation

The Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled (BAPD) recently donated a wheelchair to the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI), helping the institution further comply with the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities) bill. 

Contractors Introduced to New Air Condition System at BTVI

 Discount Air Condition Supplies recently partnered with The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) to host a workshop introducing contractors and BTVI’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) instructors and students to a new pre-insulated duct system for central air systems.
