BTVI Recruits Students Virtually

In a move to recruit students for the fall semester, the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) recently held a virtual open house, welcoming prospective students to experience the institution from the comfort of their own homes.

Construction Certification Training for West End and Bimini Residents

Fifty two constituents of West End and Bimini are now being trained in the fundamentals of construction by the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI).

The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training is in conjunction with Valencia College. The virtual training is in modules; therefore participants can build on their knowledge and skills at each level.

A key policy response advanced by The Bahamas government has focused on the need to develop more capacity within the labour force; hence, the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) is pushing to achieve several outcomes, inclusive of accelerated trade courses and certifications.

Rotary Club Invests in BTVI Virtual Reading Program

The Rotary Club of East Nassau (RCEN) recently made a donation to the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) to aid in its continued use of the MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach software program

BTVI Students Soaring in Web-based Math Classes

 

In the fall 2020 term, 87% of Math students at the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) passed their courses. According to Chair of the Math department, Ron Clarke, this represents the highest pass rate in Math that BTVI has seen.
